The History of Northville High School

In 1865, Northville's first high school, Union School, was opened on Main Street where Old Village School now stands. Since that time, the high school has been housed in four other buildings including its current location on Six Mile Road. For more than 150 years, Northville has remained a “one high school” district which provides for a strong sense of community and hometown pride. Educational excellence has remained a long standing tradition among the Northville Public Schools and is apparent by the success of so many of Northville High School's nearly 20,000 alumni.
